Maureen Denise McCormick, the sole daughter from Richard McCormick Irene McCormick, was born in Woodland Hills California on 5 August 1956. Her father was a school teacher and her mother as a stay at home mom. Michael Dennis Kevin is her the third of her siblings. McCormick was a gifted artist and singer from an early age. She would perform shows using puppets for the neighbors. Following her win in her first Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest when she was 6 an old Pat Domigan called from Jack Wormser Agency to see if McCormick wanted to get into the entertainment industry. McCormick had her first significant task when she was cast as a television character in the 1964 commercial of Mattels newest baby doll Baby Pattaburp. A year later, she starred for another firm's Chatty Cathy Doll and was immediately selected for The Brady Bunch La Jolla Playhouse play Wind ItUp and ItBreaks. The Brady Bunch McCormick auditioned for the role of the eldest daughter of the towheaded trio on The Brady Bunch. The show starred Florence Henderson, Robert Reed as well as a brand new family. The show ran for five seasons. McCormick's autobiography Heres the Story, Surviving Marcia Brady: Finding My True Voice was published in the year 2008. She revealed in it that McCormick was close to losing her virginity on sets of the show in its fifth season to Barry Williams. She was just 16 at the time while he was. The two of us could have been in a relationship, said she. However, the timing was not right.
